See the loop OCD keeps you in, and practice leaving the thought unanswered. Conicia is a step-by-step program for living well with OCD: tools for hard moments, short lessons from a psychiatrist who treats it, and a journal that shows the pattern.
Open it and it asks one question: what do you need right now?
- OCD is loud. Practices for not acting on it, right now.
- I have time to work on it. Your next lesson, read or listened to.
- OCD got me earlier. Log it in the journal, and the pattern shows.
TOOLS FOR HARD MOMENTS
- Urge surfing: stay with an urge without acting on it. You set the length. Ocean sound, no timer on screen.
- Unhook from a thought: write it down, put it on a leaf, and watch the stream carry it. Nothing is saved.
- Caught in a loop: when you cannot stop going over it, two minutes of cards that help you set the question down unsolved. Not an answer. A way to stop circling.
THE LESSONS
Short lessons, a few minutes each, in Dr. Weston Fisher's own words: how OCD works and what it has you doing, what sets it off, facing what it has you avoiding, where the doubt really starts, living alongside OCD, and staying well. Draws on exposure and response prevention (ERP), inference-based CBT, and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), not just one. Read them, or listen: Audiobook mode plays lesson after lesson with your screen locked, and you can keep a chapter's audio on your phone for a flight or the subway.
